For my AP Art Portfolio, I investigated how creating a nostalgic feeling of seeing a location or object can activate the viewer’s memories. I chose objects that relate to my own personal experiences, moments in my life. I experimented with bright colors — practiced to get the saturation that brought my idea of childlike innocence and wonder to the emptiest of spaces using perspective to create a world that the viewer could imagine themselves diving into.
